Place them in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starbound\assets\songs
(assuming that you're using a 64bit computer with Starbound and Steam being installed on the C: Drive)

Be aware though, these were all converted from midis to abc by me, therefore differ in quality, you decide which ones are good or bad.

Just basically try and remove every instrument except the main lead/main tune (whatever they call it in music language) then export it. Whatever I'm no music expert, I just do things and things happen, sometimes nice things and sometimes bad things.

Melody, I think is the word you are looking for, although there can be multiple melodies (EX: UN OWEN WAS HER.)

Yeah, good ol' classic game music.

I also a big fan of other chiptune music and 9-bit.

 

Don't use Maestro that LotROMIDI Player redirects you to, everything comes out all messed up in Starbound when you do.

 

If you convert it just as it is, it will almost always come messed up, you need to remove some instruments in order to make it sound normal or else the character will attempt to play every instrument from the midi at the same time.

 

Can you make Final Fantasy 7 - Let The Battles Begin for me? I'd really appreciate it, I can't find it anywhere
